Description
This collection features multiple embroidered unit patches and insignia representing elite United States Army special operations units of the World War II era. The grouping includes shield-shaped shoulder sleeve insignia for the Mars Task Force and Merrill’s Marauders, both displaying a white 12-pointed sun, a red diagonal lightning bolt, and a white five-pointed star on a split green and blue field. Also present is a 1st Ranger Battalion unit scroll tab and a red First Special Service Force (FSSF) arrowhead patch featuring vertical USA and CANADA text. Smaller insignia include a circular patch with a white and black fighting knife on a blue field, gold-toned wings flanking a central red SF disc, blue wings with a gold-toned parachute, and an oval parachutist background trimming with horizontal red, white, and blue stripes. The items are constructed with modern embroidery techniques, evidenced by the snowy white thread pattern and loose tie-offs on the reverse, identifying them as high-quality commemorative reproductions or pieces produced for the collector and re-enactor market.

Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
