Description
A collection of ten US Army Ranger unit insignia patches, styled after World War II era designs. The group consists of nine scroll-style shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) and one diamond-shaped SSI. The scroll patches are embroidered on black fabric with red borders and white lettering. The set represents multiple units, including two 1st Ranger Battalion scrolls, two 2nd Ranger Battalion scrolls, two 3rd Ranger Battalion scrolls, and one each for the 4th, 5th, and 6th Ranger Battalions. The diamond-shaped insignia features a blue background with gold-yellow embroidery reading RANGERS. The reverse of the patches is finished with white bobbin thread, a construction characteristic often referred to as snow backing.
Scroll patches: approximately 4 inches in width
Diamond patch: approximately 3.75 inches in width by 2.25 inches in height. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
