Description
This large clip-point Bowie knife is designed in the style of historical frontier or Confederate brass-back blades. It features a heavy carbon steel blade with a brass spine wrap extending along the back of the blade toward a clip point. The hilt is constructed with a large, recurved brass S-guard and a matching brass ferrule. The smooth, polished hardwood handle is formed from a single piece of wood ending in a rounded pommel. No maker marks or stamps are visible on the blade, guard, or handle. The accompanying brown leather sheath is machine-stitched with cream-colored thread and includes a wide belt loop and a horizontal retaining strap. This item matches the design specifications of a modern commercial production primitive Bowie knife.
