Description

This lot consists of two United States military M1 helmet liners from different production eras. The first item is a high-pressure composite helmet liner of the type manufactured during World War II and the early Cold War. It is constructed from resin-impregnated fabric with a visible brown weave pattern on the interior and a matte olive drab finish on the exterior. The suspension system features three-point Olive Drab number 7 herringbone twill webbing secured with metal A washers. The second item is a molded plastic helmet liner of the type introduced post-World War II, such as the M-1951 pattern. It features a smooth molded plastic shell with a dark olive drab paint finish. The interior includes an Olive Drab number 7 herringbone twill webbing suspension and an adjustable sweatband with a light tan lining secured by metal clips. Both liners utilize metal A washers to secure the suspension to the shell. No manufacturer stamps or markings are legible in the provided images.
