Description
This two-piece military uniform set consists of a shirt and trousers in a tigerstripe camouflage pattern, characterized by dense horizontal black brushstrokes over green and brown tones. The pattern and features are consistent with the advisor style variants utilized during the Vietnam War. The shirt features a six-button front closure with brown plastic buttons, two pleated breast pockets with button-down flaps, and shoulder epaulettes. A single olive drab cotton webbing name tape is sewn above the left breast pocket with the name MASON embroidered in black block letters. The sleeve cuffs have a single-button closure. The trousers are designed with two front slash pockets, two rear pockets with button flaps, two large pleated cargo pockets on the thighs, and a smaller utility pocket on the lower left leg. The waist features gold-colored webbing cinch straps with metal buckles for adjustment. Construction details include unfinished interior seams and fabric that shows a light grey reverse, indicating a printed cotton twill material. No contract labels or manufacturer marks are present, which is characteristic of locally manufactured South Vietnamese or commercial advisor items from the mid-to-late 1960s.
