Struck by the Royal Canadian Mint, these 2017 silver bullion coins each have a face value of 8 Dollars and are composed of .9999 fine silver. The obverse design depicts a grizzly bear standing on a rocky outcrop, with the inscriptions CANADA 2017 and FINE SILVER 1 1/2 OZ ARGENT PUR along with the purity mark 9999 and the artist initials PL. The reverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the transcriptions ELIZABETH II, D G REGINA, and 8 DOLLARS, and bears the artist initials SB. The coins are individually protected in clear plastic capsules with white foam gaskets.
