This lot comprises two silver bullion coins from the Republic of Congo Silverback Gorilla series, dated 2016 and 2017, produced by the Scottsdale Mint. Each coin is struck in 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver. The obverse of the 2016 coin features a front-facing gorilla head. The 2017 coin depicts a gorilla in profile with an open mouth against a background of foliage. Both coins are inscribed with CONGO SILVERBACK GORILLA, their respective years, and 1 OZ 999 SILVER. The reverse of each coin displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Congo, which includes two elephants supporting a shield with a lion and a ribbon bearing the motto UNITE TRAVAIL PROGRES. The reverse also features the inscription REPUBLIQUE DU CONGO and the face value 5000 FRANCS CFA. Both coins are housed in clear protective acrylic capsules.
Total: 2 oz t .999 fine silver.Pickup is Friday May 1 from Noon to 3 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is $5/lot. If you are going to wire you will need to make sure it has cleared to us. Cash is king.
