This lot features two silver bullion coins from the Somali Republic African Wildlife series. The first coin, dated 2015, displays the Somali coat of arms on the obverse, inscribed SOMALI REPUBLIC and 100 SHILLINGS, with the date 2015 split across the field. The reverse depicts an elephant mother and calf in a savanna setting, inscribed AFRICAN WILDLIFE, ELEPHANT, and 1 oz Ag 999. The second coin, dated 2016, features the same obverse design updated with the 2016 date. Its reverse shows a single elephant with its trunk raised against a savanna backdrop with a sun or moon, inscribed AFRICAN WILDLIFE, ELEPHANT, and 1 oz Ag 999,9. Both specimens are struck in fine silver and are presented in clear, circular plastic protective capsules.
