This lot consists of a collection of vintage men’s lifestyle periodicals, primarily featuring Playboy and Penthouse magazines dating from the late 1960s through the early 1980s. Published by Playboy Enterprises, Inc. and Penthouse International Ltd., these issues are recognized for their blend of investigative journalism, celebrity interviews, short stories, and artistic photography. Historical highlights within the collection include the May 1974 Playboy featuring Bernstein and Woodward’s Watergate reportage and the March 1980 issue featuring the Bo Derek pictorial. The collection includes several sought-after editions such as the Playboy 25th Anniversary issue (August 1979), the December 1976 Gala Christmas Issue, and the Penthouse November 1982 Pet of the Year Souvenir Issue. Other notable features include the June 1969 Playmate of the Year issue and the Playboy Bunnies #2 special edition. Literary and interview subjects throughout the lot include John Updike, Norman Mailer, Linda Ronstadt, and Terry Bradshaw. Dimensions approximately 8.5 by 11 inches per issue. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
