Description
A collection of early 20th-century Real Photo Postcards (RPPCs) primarily featuring studio-posed subjects at Buckeye Lake, Ohio. The group includes several photographs of individuals and groups posed in front of a recurring studio backdrop depicting a steamboat deck. This prop features life preservers labeled B.L. STR. and a pennant for BUCKEYE LAKE. One postcard depicts a woman posed next to a BUCKEYE LAKE pennant in front of a window prop. The collection also contains a scenic view of boats at a dock with the handwritten caption Buckeye Point Summerland Beach. The reverse sides of the cards display standard POST CARD markings and period handwritten correspondence addressed to various locations in Ohio. One postcard bears a 1912 postmark. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
