Description
An Italian Vetterli Model 1870/87/15 bolt-action infantry rifle, originally manufactured at the Brescia arsenal. The barrel shank is stamped BRESCIA above the date 1883 and the serial number MS 5387. This example was converted for service during World War I and is chambered in 6.5 mm. The rifle features a steel barrel and receiver assembly set into a full-length walnut stock. It is equipped with a leaf-style rear sight and a fixed box magazine. The left side of the buttstock bears a circular REGIA FABBRICA D’ARMI BRESCIA arsenal cartouche. Barrel length: 33 7/8 inches. This item is either black powder or manufactured in or before 1898 (and does not take readily available ammunition), and thus does not require an FFL or background check. We can hand out to you at pickup or ship to the address of your choice. In-house shipping available.
