Description
This collection consists of an assortment of buttons presented on four separate display boards. The lot includes Czech antique glass buttons and West German glass buttons, consistent with established market examples. One board features Siberian jet pieces imported and drilled by Bob Benson, with accompanying notes indicating these items are buttons adapted from or intended for body jewelry. A second board contains hand-painted portrait miniatures on ivory, some protected under glass and several set within circular rhinestone-embellished frames. This board also includes a small rectangular Persian miniature painted on ivory and set in a silver frame. A third board displays pictorial buttons under acrylic domes featuring various themes such as animals, flags, and geometric patterns, alongside small stamped aluminum buttons. The final board includes various carved black buttons and pieces identified as jet or coal, with further attributions to artists including Bob Benson. The items are accompanied by handwritten and printed labels providing material identification and provenance.
Measurements: Display boards approximately 9 by 12 inches each. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
