Description
This collection of buttons is organized across five thematic display boards, categorized by material, shape, and design. The assortment features a wide range of materials including plastic, celluloid, casein, glass, wood, shell, bone, horn, enamel, brass, and aluminum. One board is specifically labeled SQUARE and contains various geometric pieces with diverse textures, including examples identified by labels as real tortoise and polyester. A separate board titled SNAP TOGETHER features novelty buttons depicting animals, food items, and popular culture characters such as Disney and Pixar figures. A classification board includes technical labels for geometric forms including pentagon, hexagon, octagon, decagon, and dodecagon, alongside material identifications such as walrus tusk, horn, and dyed bone. The collection also encompasses decorative enamel pieces, floral motifs, and mid-century geometric designs. Many items are accompanied by systematic typed or handwritten identification labels. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
