Description
This collection consists of an assortment of vintage buttons and fasteners organized on a gray collector’s card with printed descriptive labels. The items are themed around bows and knots, featuring a variety of construction methods and materials including sterling silver, silver-plated brass, pewter, wood, celluloid, black glass, ceramic, horn, and metalized plastic. Notable specimens include a sterling silver bow button marked Louis Castillia Taxco Sterling, a wooden button with a moveable string element, and a fastener composed of patent leather vinyl fabric. The group includes various knot styles such as square knots, Celtic knots, and timberhitches, alongside bow designs ranging from mesh to pierced metal. Other materials identified on the mounting board include plaster of Paris, composition, and enamel.
The display board measures approximately 9 inches in height. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
