Description
A collection of Czech antique hand-painted glass buttons presented on two perforated sample cards. These items are buttons featuring a variety of motifs, including floral designs such as roses, pansies, and forget-me-nots, alongside miniature female portraits in period dress. The pieces are finished in circular and oval forms, many with gold-toned metal rims and gold gilt highlights. The buttons are mounted on cards bearing the labels STUD BACK CHINA and CHINA STUDS. The technique involves hand-applied pigments on glass, consistent with early 20th-century Czech manufacturing.
Individual buttons range approximately 0.5 inches to 1.25 inches in diameter.
Sample cards measure approximately 8.5 inches by 11 inches each. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
