Description
A collection of antique and vintage buttons featuring a diverse range of materials and styles. The assortment includes faceted and colored Czech glass, brass, silver-tone and pewter-toned metals, wood, and plastic. Notable examples include two large rectangular wooden buttons with chevron-patterned inlay and silver-tone buttons identified in accompanying notes as horn. The collection features several pictorial buttons depicting figures such as a jester, a musician, and helmeted profiles identified as Minerva and Scaramouche. These items are buttons presented on a custom Mother/Daughter mounting board and an organized cataloging worksheet. The worksheet includes extensive handwritten identification notes, reference numbers, and categories such as Animals, Object, and Plant.
The display boards together measure approximately 18 inches in width. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
