Description
This lot comprises a collection of antique and vintage buttons and studs organized across several labeled mounts. These items are buttons of various types, including a group of 1930s Bakelite and celluloid buttons with spiral patterns labeled as Cookies. The assembly features a large brass transitional button dating from the late 18th to early 19th century, characterized by a cast floral and scrollwork design and a drilled shank. Also included are brass Small Sporting buttons embossed with animal figures such as hunting dogs and a beaver. The collection contains multiple Veil Buttons crafted from faceted glass, metal filigree, and fabric, alongside a selection of Cuff Buttons with stud backs featuring mother-of-pearl, green enamel, and black-and-gold geometric motifs. A floral-patterned Suffragette button with colorful enamel is present, as are Vanity buttons with text including BRITISH MIST and GERMAN. A pair of blue-and-gold Zodiac studs depicts the sign of Capricorn.
Mounts measure approximately 7 to 8 inches in width. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
