Description
A collection of circular buttons featuring transfer-decorated classical profile portraits, identified as Liverpool transferware. The items are rendered in monochrome sepia and black on white porcelain or enamel grounds, including one example with a polychrome figure on a vibrant blue ground. Several portraits depict figures in helmets. Most buttons are set within gold-toned metal rims, while one example is finished with a black rim. The collection includes a printed label reading LIVERPOOL TRANSFERS and a mounting card with the handwritten notation PARIS B.M.

Diameter of smallest button: 0.5 inch Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
