Description
A collection of Div. 1 and 3 assorted material animal and insect-themed novelty buttons. These items are buttons fashioned from a variety of materials including pewter, brass, silver-toned metals, carved wood, glass, jade, and ceramic. The assortment features two pairs of Kazuri Handcrafted Hope ceramic animal buttons, depicting giraffes and elephants, mounted on original Kenyan fair trade cards. Carved wooden buttons include a hippo and a bat. Metal-cast figures include a sheep, rhino, monkey, and a giraffe. Notable pieces include a zebra-themed button from the Ray Swanson Studio and an etched button with a whale motif. Many items are accompanied by handwritten identification labels on the mounting board, such as Jade-S, Dog (Spaniel), Wolf (Comr), and Bighorn Ram Blk. Glass. The buttons exhibit various construction methods including shanks and sew-through designs.
The mounting board measures approximately 11 inches in height. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
