Description
This extensive collection of buttons features several exhibition boards showcasing an assortment of vintage and modern examples. Many items are associated with the Buckeye State Button Society and are accompanied by award ribbons and entry forms dated circa 2015. The buttons are constructed from a wide variety of materials including black and colored glass, mother-of-pearl, abalone, and other shells, as well as horn, ivory, bone, casein, celluloid, brass, wood, and early composition materials. Notable specimens include Goodyear 1851 rubber buttons, watch crystal buttons, and various hand-painted or carved pieces. The collection is organized on diverse display cards, some arranged by technical classification and others in decorative patterns.
Largest display card: 18 inches (width) Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
