Description
A collection of antique and vintage diminutive buttons, including Czech glass and various mixed media specimens, mounted on four reference display cards. The assortment includes buttons manufactured from molded and colored glass, various metals, wood, horn, bone, and enamel. One card features a printed and numbered classification system detailing categories such as rosette shank, paperweight, radiant, frosted, and Victorian styles. Other cards include handwritten identifications for materials and technical features including saphrette, turquoise, and circumflex shanks. The buttons exhibit diverse decorative techniques ranging from simple geometric forms to intricate floral and figurative designs. This group appears to serve as an organized reference or study set for diminutive clothing fasteners.
Display cards approximately 9 x 12 inches each. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
