Description
A collection of Victorian and Art Nouveau era buttons organized on three display boards. Theses items are buttons showcasing various botanical themes and are categorized on cards labeled PLANT LIFE and STRAWBERRIES. The assortment includes a wide array of materials such as brass, white metal, steel, glass, ceramic, horn, wood, pearl, and celluloid. Decorative motifs display intricate relief work including roses, lilies, grapes, acorns, strawberries, and Tree of Life designs. Handwritten notations on the mounting cards identify specific subjects and materials, including glass, horn, wood, and celluloid. Construction techniques vary from cast metal to incised celluloid and painted ceramic.
Measurements: 9 x 12 inches per board Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
