Description
An assortment of antique and vintage buttons primarily composed of molded and faceted glass set within various metal mounts. Theses items are buttons featuring a diverse array of styles, colors, and sizes, including molded white glass, faceted black glass, and accents in blue, red, and green. Decorative designs range from simple geometric forms to intricate floral patterns, with some examples displaying miniature cross-stitch and cameo-style details. The collection is presented across several colored mounting boards. Labels on the boards include printed text such as GLASS IN METAL, OLD ONLY MOST SMALL, and DIV I WHITE. Handwritten notations on the boards provide further classification, including references to back types such as THREAD BACK and PAD BACK. The buttons are secured to the boards in organized clusters and rows.
Mounting boards: approximately 9 inches in height. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
