Description
This collection of antique and vintage buttons is professionally organized and mounted across four separate display boards. Theses items are buttons that include various classifications such as Whistles or self-shank styles, Black Glass, and Design Under Glass or DUG styles. One board is specifically dated to the 1900-1920 period. The materials represented include molded glass with luster finishes, inlaid elements, painted designs, wood, horn, and bone. Several boards feature handwritten or printed classifications according to button society standards. One board is accompanied by a 2022 Buckeye State Button Society judging slip noting a merit award. The buttons exhibit diverse decorative techniques including acid etching, goldstone overlays, and enamel painting.
Each board measures approximately 9 x 11 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
