Description
This assortment of vintage and collectible buttons is presented on four labeled display cards, categorized by material and production era. The collection includes buttons manufactured from casein, acrylic, and embedded polymer or polyester. One card features casein buttons identified as dating from the 1920s through the 1950s, including a red die-form novelty button and a commemorative piece depicting William Shakespeare with the inscription Gulielmus Shakspear. A second card contains acrylic and contemporary buttons, featuring embedded botanical specimens such as yellow alyssum, as well as various floral and geometric motifs. The third card displays embedded polymer buttons utilizing techniques such as shell and metal inlays, wood fragments, and glitter. The fourth card consists of colored casein buttons characterized by decorative white stitching in various shapes and colors including teal, orange, and burgundy. These items are buttons that represent a diverse range of mid-century and modern manufacturing techniques.
Each display card measures approximately 9 by 12 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
