Description
A collection of vintage buttons professionally mounted on four display cards. The assortment primarily features celluloid as the main material, including one-piece figural designs from the 1930s depicting sports themes such as tennis, baseball, and football, as well as nautical, aviation, and hunting scenes. Another group consists of celluloid overlays with various textured, wood-grain, and geometric patterns. The collection also includes buttons composed of celluloid with metal or shell accents in rectangular, oval, and faceted shapes, featuring metallic, shell, or inlaid details. Notable pieces include a green oval button with pink thread work identified as scarce and various buttons with rhinestone embellishments or pad back construction. The items are presented on cards with handwritten classifications and descriptive tags.
