Description
This collection of antique and vintage buttons is presented on four organized display cards. The assortment features a variety of materials and styles, including examples labeled as Tortoise-like Polymer, Coat Buttons, and Wood Grain Painted Black Glass, the latter of which is identified by the French term faux bois. The buttons exhibit diverse decorative techniques such as intricate carvings, embossed floral and geometric motifs, and inset accents of metal and rhinestones. Materials include glass, polymer, and metal in a palette of mottled tortoiseshell, black, deep red, blue, amber, and earth tones. Handwritten markings on the cards provide further identification for specific types, including black glass and brown glass. These items are buttons found in various shapes such as round, square, and hexagonal.
Width of two cards: 18 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
