Description
This assortment consists of various vintage black glass buttons featuring animal and insect motifs. These are buttons mounted on a gray cardstock display board labeled ANIMALS BLACK GLASS – DIV I. The subjects include butterflies, frogs, horses, bears, and mythical creatures such as dragons, as well as cows, squirrels, snakes, alligators, owls, bats, deer, and crayfish. The buttons exhibit several decorative styles including molded relief, iridescent luster finishes, metallic gold and silver-tone highlights, and hand-painted details. The construction is primarily molded glass with various surface treatments. Handwritten notations on the display board provide identification for the motifs and indicate certain examples are marked.
Display board height: 9 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
