Description
This collection of Wedgwood Jasperware Bicentennial buttons features circular blue and white ceramic plaques with bas-relief scenes depicting significant events in United States history. The set is mounted on a white card titled 1776 Bicentennial 1976. Scenes present include the 1776 Declaration of Independence, 1776 Washington Crossing the Delaware, 1776 Betsy Ross Sews First Flag, 1836 The Alamo, 1849 Gold Rush, 1860 Pony Express, 1863 Gettysburg Address, 1865 Appomattox, 1927 Spirit of St. Louis, and the 1969 First Moon Landing. Each button is crafted in the traditional Jasperware style with white relief figures against a blue ground.
Buttons approximately 1.125 inches in diameter. Mounting card approximately 9 inches by 12 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
