Description
A collection of Division III jasperware and Wedgwood buttons. These are buttons crafted from matte stoneware in the traditional jasperware style, featuring a variety of background colors including pale blue, royal blue, sage green, terracotta, and black. Each button is adorned with a characteristic raised white relief. Decorative motifs are diverse, featuring neoclassical figures, animals such as horses, a turtle, and a leopard, as well as landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and a black fan-shaped piece with avian and floral designs. Many pieces are marked with handwritten notations on the display board or the reverse, including initials SR and SK followed by years ranging from 1982 to 2003, indicating studio production. The items are presented on a grey display board. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
