Description
A collection of vintage Bakelite (phenolic resin) buttons featuring a diverse assortment of shapes, sizes, and decorative treatments. The group includes various Art Deco and mid-century styles, with colors ranging from opaque butterscotch, cherry red, and spinach green to translucent apple juice amber and marbled earth tones. The collection showcases various manufacturing techniques, including carving, molding, and lamination, with some pieces featuring inset metal accents, geometric layered designs, and figural forms such as a fish and a leaf. One button is a translucent yellow cylinder with glitter inclusions.
