Description
An assortment of antique pictorial buttons featuring high-relief metal motifs set against circular wood backgrounds. The collection includes various designs such as heraldic crests, a griffin, a castle, floral sprays, a cherub, a bird on a fence, and a horse with rider. The metal components exhibit brass, silver-tone, and darkened finishes. Each button is constructed with a decorative metal border, including rope-twist and geometric patterns, surrounding the central wood grain insert. One specific example features a small metal star set against a dark, textured circular field. The items are mounted on a neutral-toned display card with a label reading WOOD BACKGROUND.
Individual button diameters range from approximately 0.75 inches to 1.5 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
