Description

This collection features an assortment of decorative metal buttons and fasteners, primarily of Scottish, Dutch, and Asian origin, mounted on a display card. The group includes several silver-tone Scottish kilt buttons in varying sizes, featuring embossed motifs such as thistles, harps, and figures. A selection of toggle-style fasteners, identified as Dutch breeches buttons, displays ornate filigree work and spherical terminals. The assortment also contains a mid-20th-century ethnic costume button with purple and red enamel, a brass-tone Mandarin coat button, and a blue and gold-tone Masonic emblem button. Several pieces are identified as modern Australian production. One square brass-tone button is marked St. Ange Marion Depose. The items are constructed from a mix of silver-tone and brass-tone alloys, utilizing techniques such as filigree, relief casting, and enameling.

The display card measures approximately 11 inches in width. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
