Description
An assortment of antique and vintage buttons featuring a variety of styles and materials. The collection is primarily composed of aluminum construction as indicated by the mounting card label, but also includes enameled pieces, celluloid, and mixed metal examples. Decorative motifs range from heraldic crests and intricate floral patterns to geometric designs and classical figures. Notable specific items include a button marked LEGION ETRANGERE, a British Union Jack enameled button, and a large coin-style button depicting Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria. Several pieces feature handwritten attributions on the display card such as celluloid and wallpaper.
Display card: 9 inches in height Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
