Description

An assortment of antique buttons dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, primarily composed of mother-of-pearl and various metals. The collection features numerous picture buttons with detailed metal relief overlays depicting a wide array of subjects. Fauna motifs include birds, squirrels, rabbits, insects, and dogs, while botanical designs include acorns, grapes, and flowers. Several pieces showcase carved shell work, including a classical-style cameo and celestial patterns. One specific button is labeled as a carved cameo depicting a horse and woman. The collection is presented on a display board with typed and handwritten labels identifying the materials as mother-of-pearl and metal.

Board measures approximately 8.5 x 11 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
