Description
This collection consists of various antique and vintage buttons featuring diverse materials and decorative techniques. The assortment includes mother-of-pearl, abalone, and various metal settings in brass and copper tones. Notable pieces include an oval carved shell cameo, a round hand-painted landscape button with a twisted metal rim, and a stylized hummingbird with shell inlay. Several buttons feature geometric motifs, iridescent shell, enamel, and faceted glass accents. One small violin-shaped decorative piece is contained in a plastic bag labeled CONVERSION. The collection is presented on a display card titled SET IN METAL & RIMMED, which includes a handwritten notation for BIRMINGHAM TRADE next to a small metal-rimmed button.
