Description
A collection of hand-painted miniature buttons featuring traditional Persian and Indian style scenes. These items are buttons executed on grounds of mother-of-pearl and camel bone. The pieces are set within silver-toned metal frames, with several featuring decorative rope-twist borders. The hand-painted decoration includes figures on horseback, wildlife within landscapes, and individual figures in traditional dress. Documentation accompanying the lot indicates these pieces were exported from Iran during the late 1940s.

Smallest button: 0.75 inches wide Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
