Description
This collection of antique Art Nouveau and fashion buttons features a diverse array of materials and decorative techniques. These items are buttons curated for their unique border designs, including chased and repoussé metalwork in brass and silver tones, enameled pieces, and rimmed celluloid. The assortment includes various inserts such as mother-of-pearl, glass, and stone-like cabochons. Notable decorative motifs include a profile of Napoleon, avian themes labeled as Bird Border, floral patterns, and geometric designs. Several pieces feature specialized construction such as white metal whip shanks and handkerchief corners. The lot is presented on a cream-colored display board with handwritten descriptive annotations and is accompanied by reference cataloging photocopies.
Measurement: The display board measures approximately 11 inches in height. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
