Description
A comprehensive collection of eleven officially licensed Indianapolis Motor Speedway commemorative belt buckles manufactured by the Siskiyou Buckle Co., Inc. of Ashland, Oregon. These pieces are crafted from high-relief cast pewter and represent various runnings of the Indianapolis 500 between 1997 and 2003. The collection features several limited edition items, many of which are hand-numbered “336 of 500” on the reverse side. Featured designs include the 81st Running (1997) with the Oldsmobile Aurora pace car, the 82nd Running (1998) with the Chevrolet Corvette pace car, and the 85th and 87th Runnings honoring historic winners Ray Harroun and Louis Meyer. Several buckles incorporate multi-colored enameled details. The reverse of the buckles includes historical text regarding the specific race, driver, or pace car depicted. Many items retain their original retail tags and “Made in USA” markings. Individual buckles measure approximately 3 to 4 inches in width. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
