Description
This curated collection features ten commemorative belt buckles celebrating the legacy of the Indianapolis 500 and the Brickyard 400 motor racing events. The assembly includes five oval-shaped solid brass buckles with vibrant enameled or epoxy-coated fronts from the Indy 500 Giftshop, produced by S.R.E. These brass examples commemorate the 71st through 75th runnings of the race (1987-1991). Each brass buckle is a numbered limited edition, featuring stamped serial numbers such as No. 66 of 100 and No. 55 of 500 on the reverse. The collection also contains four cast solid pewter buckles with high-relief designs, including the 1990 Chevrolet Beretta Official Pace Car, the 1991 Dodge Official Pace Car featuring a portrait of Anton Hulman Jr., and the 1992 Cadillac Allante Official Pace Car. The set is completed by two Brickyard 400 commemorative pieces, including a 2001 rectangular design and a 2002 Siskiyou Buckle Co. limited edition (No. 301 of 400). Several pieces feature detailed historical narratives and race statistics on the reverse side. Manufacturers identified include Siskiyou Buckle Co. of Ashland, Oregon, and S.R.E. Each buckle measures approximately 3.5 to 4 inches in width. Burns in-house shipping is available.
