A collection of US military field gear spanning the World War I and World War II eras. The group includes multiple aluminum canteens with canvas covers, featuring markings such as Foley Mfg. Co. 1942, L.F.&C. 1918, and S.M. Co. 1944. A metal mess kit is present, with the pan stamped U.S. E.A. Co. 1943, accompanied by a set of utensils. A notable item is a brown leather flight helmet manufactured by Slote & Klein, bearing a NAF 1092 label and size 7 1/4. The assortment further contains various canvas components including an M1910 dismounted rifle cartridge belt, leggings, and pouches in olive drab and tan. A dark-finished wooden nightstick and a canvas field protective mask bag are also included. Many items feature standard U.S. military stamps and manufacturing dates ranging from 1918 to 1945. Several pieces retain handwritten provenance tags from a prior collection. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
