Description

This Kentucky-style percussion rifle was produced by gunsmith J. Horsley of Metamora, Indiana. The rifle is constructed with a full-length highly figured tiger maple stock and an octagonal iron barrel. The top flat of the barrel is stamped J. HORSLEY and 1854, alongside a stamped symbol of three interlocking rings associated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The muzzle face is stamped with the date 1854, the caliber .42, and decorative stars. The rifle is trimmed with brass furniture, including a crescent-shaped buttplate, a scrolled trigger guard, and ramrod pipes. It features a percussion lock and double set triggers. Barrel length: 46 inches Caliber: .42 This item is either black powder or manufactured in or before 1898 (and does not take readily available ammunition), and thus does not require an FFL or background check. We can hand out to you at pickup or ship to the address of your choice. In-house shipping available.
