Description
A pair of vintage heavy-duty hand tools consisting of one sledgehammer and one pickaxe. The sledgehammer features a double-faced forged steel head mounted on a wooden handle. A black tape wrap, likely applied for overstrike protection or handle stabilization, extends approximately 12 inches down from the head. The pickaxe is a double-pointed variety with a forged steel head and a wooden handle. There are faint, illegible markings in green ink on the pickaxe handle, but no manufacturer stamps are visible on the steel components of either tool. These items are characteristic of 20th-century industrial or agricultural equipment.

Pickaxe overall length: 35 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
