A comprehensive collection of vintage professional machinist’s precision measuring instruments and layout tools of primarily American and Japanese manufacture. The assortment includes two depth micrometer sets: a Lufkin Rule Co. No. 515 set in a fitted mahogany-finish wooden box, stamped No. 515 THE LUFKIN RULE CO. SAGINAW, MICH. MADE IN U.S.A. with five interchangeable measuring rods; and a Brown and Sharpe Mfg. Co. set in a fitted wooden box with three interchangeable measuring rods. Calipers include a Mitutoyo dial caliper, Model No. 505-629, with a dial face marked Mitutoyo MADE IN JAPAN .001" NO. 505-629, and several sets of L.S. Starrett Co. inside and outside spring calipers. The lot features two dial indicators: a Gem Jeweled indicator marked GEM JEWELED CLEVELAND, O. U.S.A. in a burgundy velvet-lined case marked INSTRUMENT MFG. CO. MODEL 225; and a Fellows indicator manufactured by B.C. AMES CO. WALTHAM, MASS. U.S.A. Additional precision tools include multiple Starrett telescoping hole gauges (one marked 229), a machinist’s square with a component marked CRAFTSMAN, a 6-inch steel rule, and a small layout tool with an adjustable arm. The tools are constructed from tool steel and stainless steel with storage cases of wood and faux leather.
Steel rule: 6 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
