Description
An assortment of original theatrical promotional materials and posters from various major film productions released between 2001 and 2003. The collection features several full-size theatrical posters, including Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001), Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002), and Insomnia (2002). A folded teaser poster for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) is included, depicting the Sword of Gryffindor with the tagline The Second Year Begins November 15. The lot also contains a group of approximately 12 to 15 additional rolled posters of various unidentified titles.
Promotional goods include four handheld cardboard fan paddles for Corky Romano (2001) featuring actor Chris Kattan, with the reverse side bearing the promotional text Who Is Corky Romano? and the Touchstone Pictures copyright. The collection also contains five black cord lanyards with plastic badges for The Recruit (2003) featuring Al Pacino and Colin Farrell, with the film release date 1-31-03. Additional small-format items consist of two promotional cards for The Mothman Prophecies (2002) and one character card for Bashira Kincaid from the film Ghosts of Mars (2001), which displays the MPF Mars Police Force fictional insignia. A single cardboard paddle shaped like a pointing hand is also present. Materials consist primarily of offset-printed paper, cardboard, wood, and plastic. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The items show signs of varying theatrical use and storage wear. The Harry Potter poster is folded with visible horizontal and vertical creasing. The full-size posters for Atlantis, Austin Powers, and Insomnia exhibit edge wear, surface wrinkling, and evidence of pinholes from previous display. Rolled posters show different degrees of edge curling and surface impressions. Promotional paddles, lanyards, and cards are generally in good condition with light surface wear; some fan paddles show minor soiling on the white reverse sides.
