Description
A mid-century floor-standing ashtray, or smoker’s stand, manufactured by the Smokador Manufacturing Company. The item is constructed of metal and features a central cylindrical column with a copper-tone finish, set into a flared, weighted conical base. The top assembly is a circular chrome-plated basin with a central aperture designed for ash disposal into the hollow stand. The basin is equipped with two spring-tensioned butterfly-style cigar or cigarette rests and is surmounted by a fixed, arched metal handle. The interior of the basin is stamped with the maker’s mark SMOKADOR PRODUCT.

Base diameter: 8 inches
Basin diameter: 6 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
Fair vintage condition. The chrome-plated basin and the spring-tensioned clips exhibit significant surface pitting and oxidation (rust). The copper-tone finish on the column and base shows scattered scuffs, surface scratches, and areas of finish loss, particularly around the lower edge of the conical base.
