Description
This video game console lot, manufactured by Nintendo, includes a North American model Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) console, two controllers, an AC power adapter, a set of AV cables, and 12 game cartridges. The console is constructed from plastic and features the standard grey and purple color scheme. On the top, the unit is labeled Super Nintendo Entertainment System with purple slide switches for Power and Reset and a grey Eject button. The rear of the console features a Nintendo World Class Service sticker with Mario carrying a tool and the number 1-800-255-3700. Input and output ports are labeled Multi Out, RF Out, Ch 3-Ch 4, and AC Adapter (DC 10V). The set includes two standard controllers with directional pads and four action buttons. The 12 game cartridges included are Killer Instinct (in a black plastic shell), SimCity, The Lion King, NCAA Basketball, Space Invaders, Toy Story, Super Mario World, Monopoly, NFL Quarterback Club 96, Super Off Road The Baja, Scooby-Doo Mystery, and Shaq Fu. One proprietary Nintendo AV cable with RCA connectors (yellow, red, and white) and one black AC power adapter are present. A handwritten note on white paper stating System Works is included with the lot. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The console shell shows significant and uniform yellowing and oxidation due to age. There are visible structural cracks in the plastic casing on both the rear-left and rear-right corners. The controllers show varying conditions; one is significantly yellowed while the other remains grey but has red marking or staining near the top center. Game cartridges exhibit varying degrees of label wear, with SimCity specifically showing significant peeling along the top edge of the label. The console and peripherals are uncleaned. While a handwritten note indicates the system is functional, the internal hardware, disc drive mechanism, and cartridge contacts have not been professionally tested for performance. No original boxes or instructional manuals are included.
