Description
This vintage-style, large-scale lighted holiday decoration, commonly known as a blow mold, depicts a Black Santa Claus. The figure is constructed from molded polyethylene plastic and features an internal light fixture. Santa is shown in a full-length standing pose, wearing a traditional red Santa suit with white textured trim, a black belt with a yellow buckle, and black boots. He carries a light blue toy sack over his right shoulder and cradles a tan-colored teddy bear with green accents in his left arm. The item features a manufacturer’s sticker on the base bearing a barcode and stock number 16261. This specific mold design is attributed to General Foam Plastics and was originally produced by Empire. The internal light is mounted to the back and includes a white electrical cord with a standard polarized plug.
Height: 40 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and seasonal outdoor or indoor use. There are visible areas of paint loss and scuffing, notably a significant rub on the blue toy sack and smaller scuffs on the green mitten. General surface wear, minor scratches, and light soiling are present throughout. The internal light has been tested and is functional, providing a warm glow through the translucent plastic. No major cracks or structural repairs are noted.
