Description
An assortment of sports collectibles and historical paper ephemera. The collection includes a framed Earl Campbell Houston Oilers commemorative display featuring a color action photograph of Campbell in jersey number 34, a game summary titled Front Page News for November 30, 1978, and a box score from the Oilers versus Dolphins game. Cincinnati Reds memorabilia consists of a framed 1993 team photograph including team mascot Schottzie, a large 1976 World Champions team poster, and a group of pennants including a 1970 team photo pennant, a mid-1970s World Champions roster scroll pennant, a Pete Rose 4192 The Crowning of the Hit King pennant with a facsimile signature, and a Marty Brennaman Hall of Fame induction pennant. Football-related items include a Miami Dolphins Fotoball Series 4 limited edition commemorative football in its original display box, a framed Cincinnati Bengals White Family decorative sign, and two felt player patches for Shaun Alexander and Tiki Barber. Additional items include a 1990 Topps Baseball Coins complete set of 60 coins in a display folder and three Bank of America Extra Bases MLB promotional credit card replicas issued to Richard O. Croswell. Historical ephemera consists of three copies of a 1974 Kent State University rally poster for an event titled Rally Four Years Later featuring speakers Daniel Ellsberg and Jane Fonda.
Topps Baseball Coin folder: measures over 10 inches by 20 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
Framed items and the boxed football are in good displayable condition with minor surface wear to frames. The 1976 Reds poster and the Kent State rally posters show heavy handling wear, including prominent creases, multiple folds, and edge tears. The Topps coin folder exhibits surface scuffing and minor damage to the cardboard edges. Credit card replicas and felt patches show moderate handling wear consistent with age.
