Description
A large assortment of sports trading cards primarily from the late 1980s and early 1990s covering Major League Baseball, the National Football League, and the National Basketball Association. The collection is housed in one black three-ring binder with multi-pocket protective sleeves and a large cardboard box containing thousands of loose and stacked cards. Brands represented include Topps, Donruss, Fleer, Upper Deck, Score, SkyBox, Pinnacle, and Stadium Club.
Baseball cards include 1990 Donruss, 1987 Topps wood-grain border cards, 1991 Score, and 1992 Stadium Club. Notable players visible include Joe Girardi, Roger Clemens, Robin Yount, Willie Randolph, Bernard Gilkey, and Kevin Mitchell.
Football cards are primarily located in the binder and feature numerous stars and Hall of Famers. Identified players include Barry Sanders, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, Bo Jackson, Deion Sanders, and Thurman Thomas. Set years range from 1991 to 1992 and include Pro Set, Upper Deck, Fleer Ultra, and Action Packed gold-foil embossed inserts.
Basketball cards include 1992-93 sets from Upper Deck, Fleer Ultra, and SkyBox. Notable cards include Shaquille O’Neal rookie-year inserts such as Season Leaders and All-Star cards, alongside cards for Larry Bird, Karl Malone, Alonzo Mourning, Larry Johnson, Latrell Sprewell, Robert Horry, and Christian Laettner. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The cards are in raw, ungraded condition. Items stored within the binder sleeves appear generally well-preserved, typically ranging from Excellent to Near Mint with clean surfaces and relatively sharp corners. Loose cards stored in the cardboard box exhibit more frequent signs of handling common for bulk lots of this era, including softened corners and minor edge wear. Several binder pockets contain small paper slips with handwritten price notations from a previous inventory.
